1930 Soviet Chess Set
This is a 1930 Soviet chess set. It has certainly been restored a long time ago with some ''sticky'' varnish (which is very common for Soviet chess sets) and because it has been played a lot it now has this very special patina. This set is unique, it has a ''soul'' and I love it. Of course I will never restore it as the patina is really part of its charm.

The King is 10 cms high. All pieces are weighted.

Some collectors would not buy this set considering that it is too damaged but I bought it because for me it is just a fantastic patina !
